Her father owns a video game company, leading Chiharu to be addicted to video games. Her father didn't mind, although her mother (who is a stuck up woman who never lifted a finger in her entire life) didn’t approve, believing that girls of Chiharu's status should always have poise and grace. Being the youngest child with two older brothers who were better than her in one way or another whether it was in academics or social graces, there was much expected of her. At first she tried to meet up to their expectations, copying what her brothers do in order to gain approval from her father, but he was always busy with work. Her mother on the other hand, forced her to read different books regarding western etiquette and social hierarchy but Chiharu found these things completely vapid and shallow. So she refused to put any of it into practice causing her mother to scold her very often. Tired this kind of treatment, she gave up on trying to be someone she wasn't.


This led to her rebellion. First she befriended hackers and spent all her time with them doing a lot of things that weren't considered "legal". Which were all fun and games at first until the leader of their group got arrested. The group disbanded and Chiharu was left to find another outlet. She found it in music; she joined a band and often played late into the night, which is why she's frequently late in class and forgets her assignments.

Her parents soon got fed up with her juvenile act and sent her to live alone in a small apartment hoping that this would teach her some sense of responsibility (One of her brothers: Kei was nice enough to convince her parents to send her some money for living expenses). After a few weeks after she first moved in, her brother, Itsuki decided to check up on her and found that she was acting more irresponsible than ever. The apartment was completely cluttered with trash, dishes piled up in the sink and clothes scattered all over the floor but of course to Chiharu this was just her way of "housekeeping" (since she was always busy with gigs with her band). With his mind filled with concern (and slight disgust), Itsuki immedietly informed their parents about their ineffective form of punishment and suggested that it would be best that Chiharu is to be sent to a boarding school to completely rid her of her rebellious ways.

Thus her parents enrolled her in Tachikawa Academy.

However to Chiharu this is nothing but a challenge to test her philosophy in life. So not much has changed since she first entered the academy. She is still the unyielding, unkept, irresponsible gamer/hacker/ bassist she was before. And she plans to keep it that way.

☠She’s good at math because she can easily patterns in equations and numbers but is on the average level when it comes to other subjects. [This would also explain why she's a good hacker

☠She used to wear glasses but stopped wearing them because of her new persona. She still keeps a pair with her everywhere she goes just in case she loses her contacts.

☠She took voice lessons when she was younger because her mother forced her to. But she denies that she could sing [and is actually good at it]
